 Tourism in Ocho Rios generates an income well in excess of US $357 million each year (JTB 2000 report). This reflects 27% of Jamaica's annual tourism revenue.

Friends of the Sea (Jamaica) is dedicated not only in preserving the marine ecosystem, but also in protecting the economy and livelihood of Ocho Rios and Jamaica.
